WAKELINGS
Adelaide May Wakeling was born on 3 May 1906 in Islington together with her twin sister Ada Winifred (Aunt Win). They were the 3rd and 4th eldest of 9 children born to Albert Edward Wakeling and Ada Maud Berkshire who married in 1903. The family were publicans and when the twins were born the family lived at the Prince of Wales pub in Caledonian Road, Islington.

WORTHINGTONS
William Louis Worthington was born on 31 January 1905. He was the only child of William George Worthington and Florence Louis who had married the previous year. Florence was the daughter of Jacob Louis who was born in 1835 in Prussia and came to England in 1856 aged 21. He married Katherine Fullman in 1861 and they had Florence in 1882. Jacob applied for naturalisation which was granted on 4 August 1876.
